CAMP INFORMATION for 2020 Year 5 and 6 children

 Dear Parents/Caregivers

The 2020 Year 5 & 6 students are off to Marsden Bay Camp in week 6 of term 1 Wednesday 11 - Friday 13 March 2020.

Today we have confirmed a visit to the Goat Island Marine Education Centre and snorkelling at Goat Island on the way up to Marsden Bay Camp. 

Marsden Bay Camp activities to be confirmed are  kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, archery, air rifles and water slide (we are waiting on the confirmation of other possible activities),  
Final costs for the camp will be available as soon as we have all the quotes in.

Please find attached a request for Camp Parent Helpers.   (you will find these in the notice section on our Blog) If you would like to accompany us on camp please read and complete the attached digital forms and return to the Office before next Monday 16 December.(If you are unsure of leave from work but are still interested please note this on the form)

If you have an up to date Police Vett on our school records please state on the form. (You can check at the School Office). Otherwise please complete and return the Police Vetting form by next Monday 16  December.

You will be contacted in early February if you are successful.

Please note a printed copy of the Camp Parent Helper request form came home today. If you are unable to print the Police Vetting form attached please contact the Office for a printed form.

St Johns came to visit us this week. They taught us what to do in an emergency.  We even got to practice some first aid! Friday was Mr Hardy, our Caretaker's last day.  We said goodbye to him at his special farewell assembly. We will miss you Mr Hardy.

Science fair/display Week 9 - Term 3 In Week 9 of this term, there will be a school wide Science fair/display to showcase what the children have been investigating this term. We have individual questions in the pipeline and some children have already taken it upon themselves to start researching at home! Some of the questions the children have created, may have an experiment element and could be done at home over the next few weeks, to help test their theories! As part of the display, we would like our children to present their individual investigations on a Science board.  The purchasing of the Science boards is optional, but preferred.  You may wish to investigate as follows  Warehouse stationery , Office Max or Educational essentials.  Boards range in price from around $10 - $14.00. If you are unable to purchase the board, we will provide your child with paper at school for their display. If you are purchasing a Science board, please can these be at school by Wednes
