Science fair/display Week 9 - Term 3 In Week 9 of this term, there will be a school wide Science fair/display to showcase what the children have been investigating this term. We have individual questions in the pipeline and some children have already taken it upon themselves to start researching at home! Some of the questions the children have created, may have an experiment element and could be done at home over the next few weeks, to help test their theories! As part of the display, we would like our children to present their individual investigations on a Science board.  The purchasing of the Science boards is optional, but preferred.  You may wish to investigate as follows  Warehouse stationery , Office Max or Educational essentials.  Boards range in price from around $10 - $14.00. If you are unable to purchase the board, we will provide your child with paper at school for their display. If you are purchasing a Science board, please can these be at school by Wednes

Week Two!

Week 2 WALT organise our ideas in a plan before we write. Our teachers read us a story called ‘Forgotten at the beach’. It was written from the perspective of a jandal that was forgotten. We used this as our inspiration to write about some of the items that sometimes get forgotten at school. Pencils, hats, rubbers, shoes! Rowan's What, Where, Why and Emotions plan, and writing about Mrs Campbell's lost bag. As a group we brainstormed how we want our teachers to let us know when are showing APPROPRIATE actions. THESE INCLUDED: Dojo points House points Writing in our books Say nice things to us Stickers / prizes / certificates Games outside Email our parents We also thought about how they can help us when our actions are INAPPROPRIATE. A quick drink A quick lap around the field Email our parents Morning Tea/Lunchtime inside to think or have some space Talk to us with a respectful voice (not loud)

  Mrs Campbell's class completed descriptive writing about our pencils this week.  They are titled 'The Unwritten' and they are all about the limitless world that lives inside of our pencils.  Enjoy our incredible ideas... The Unwritten Inside this pencil is mysterious words that we know but some we don't. Some are from the future and some are from the past.  Inside this pencil are words that only some secret animal species know.
