Today we spent the morning wandering our space - we turned it into the NATIONAL ART GALLERY of LZ2.
We then shared back to the space why we had moved an stood next to the photo or art work. We had to share what we were attracted to, why we did or did not like it and anything that captured the mood we were feeling.
Once we shared back, some of us looked at the work from a different point of view - we hadn't seen some of the designs in the images that the other children had seen!
Monarch Madness!
We have more monarch butterflies are hatching everyday now! We have named them...Greenstone, Manaaki, Bob, Chrystal, Lavender, Ryder (Ms Ryder named that one)!
Monday Week 6
This morning Isabell was chosen as the first of our Values Hall of Fame children to wear the first of our 3 kahuhuruhuru (cloaks). These cloaks are covered with material feathers that were designed and decorated by the children of LZ2 to represent the School Values, and values that are important to us as individuals. These children, are able to wear the kahuhuruhuru anytime they like for the week (except in the playground - they are far too special for that!)
SWAN PLANT INTRIGUE!
This morning, Miss Harman had brought in her swan plants from home. These fascinated us. We noticed that there were 2 back chryslis'. Shortly after school began this morning, one of these hatched right before our eyes - and then the second hatched aswell! We felt very lucky to have seen this happen. Check out the photos below!Congratulations to Matthew, Nathan and Isabell,
our recipients of the Values Certificates for Week 5!
They are Responsible, Resilient and Respectful!
